Bristol Music Foundation Seminar: Investment; Financing Your Career

The Bristol Music Foundation is happy to present, in association with Arts Matrix, a one-day seminar and intensive workshop providing specialist knowledge on aspects of income from within the music industry, and accessing income from outside the industry.

The day will begin with a seminar style presentation on the work of each individual speaker, plus a general discussion between speakers on current issues facing finance in the music industry. Break-out groups will then focus on each specific area with the committed aim of helping each attendee to assess and re-evaluate their own existing career situation and attain clear skills and knowledge to progress careers over the long-term.
Topics will include: Areas of income within the music industry; royalties, performance fees, synchronization and branding Digital; income within the online market place Managing accounts; effective use of income to maintain, and sustain, a long-term career Investment; specialist investment brokers and local and national venture capitalists to focus on approaches to investment and developing effective relationships with investors and financial mentors Collaboration; building local and national partnerships, sharing costs and co-promotion

Xtreamlab presents an extraordinary event featuring a stellar cast of 21st century dance music from top draw live guests, DJs and some virtual avatar stars:

- Vexkidy (Experimental / Acoustic / Electronic)
D.R.O.I.D will take place simultaneously in the digitised world of Second Life, and as a consequence of this, across the known world. At the Trinity huge suspended, back-projected screens will show the audience the virtual world of Second Life.
The aim is for the two audiences, the physical and the digital, to come together, meet each other, interact, know each other.
