research project will look at the cultures of peoples who have moved to
Bristol, the factors involved in people coming to Bristol, from the
personal to the social, political, historical to anecdotal.
The project will draw on real life stories, archives, media, music,
personal memorabilia and effects and the resources of community
organisations. Participants will be trained in research techniques such as
how to conduct an interview, speak in public, use new media, plan project,
team work and how to access resources.
Participants will then have the opportunity to make The ‘Night In Easton

life experience, depicting stories and issues that arise from their lives.
They will be mentored, facilitated and supported by film professionals and
create four stories set in the city, linked by taxi journeys.
The film will be exhibited along with the research project in community
venues, and be submitted to film festivals, and be part of Bristol Central
Library resources documenting the ongoing heritage and culture of Bristol
