Screentest Student Film Festival
SCREENTEST FESTIVAL – CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The weekend of 29 February to 2 March sees the Screentest festival returning to the University of Bristol Students’ Union. The festival is completely organised and run by students who have a passion for cinema and filmmaking. Now in its fourth year, the festival will showcase shorts made by student filmmakers from across the country as well as providing interesting workshops and Q&As with some top industry professionals. Following on from last year’s success, Screentest is again screening the Orange BAFTA Short Film and Short Animation Nominees and have a dazzling Awards Ceremony on the Saturday for its delegates. This is a great way of showcasing your talent, learning about a trade within the business or just indulging in your love of film.

PERFORMANCE ON SCREEN

This study day presented by PICTURE THIS, Watershed and CAPTURE is intended to inspire its delegates to present, make or go and see dance/ performance screen works. It will focus on curation, collections and archive of dance/visual art/live art and moving image projects. Speakers include Gaby Wijers (Netherlands Media Art Institute), Tracey Warr (Writer and curator), Portland Green (CAPTURE) and artist John Wood. There will also be an opportunity to see Bristol’s Live Art archives, as well as the exhibition by John Wood and Paul Harrison. This event will take place at Watershed, Bristol, on the 13th February, following screenings on the 12th of February of the Camera/Movement and Moving Images/Moving Bodies touring programmes, curated by CAPTURE and the Netherlands Media Arts Institute.
